A house of horrors:us couple keep their 13 children captive

What happened in that huddled, brown house must have been scenes straight out of a horror movie. 13 siblings, children and young adults, have been held captive there by their parents. Some had little to eat or drink, some were chained to the bed.

The martyrdom in california only ended when one of the children found a cell phone in the house – and was able to escape.

High school offers colorful program

The school family of the herzogenaurach gymnasium and all those interested will again be able to enjoy a musical finale this year in the form of the traditional christmas concert: on thursday, 12. December, starting at 7 p.M., schoolchildren from various grades will fill the evangelical church of herzogenaurach with christmas sounds.

Several ensembles have used the first months of the new school year to put together a colorful, partly contemplative and festive, but also upbeat and joyful program. The instrumentation is as varied as the program: between modern and traditional choral pieces (lower, middle and upper school choir), festive orchestral works (pre orchestra, large orchestra and profil subject) and well-known christmas hits (school band, mini band and big band), every listener will be able to discover the music that best prepares him or her for the "stade zeit" tunes. And at the very least, the final piece sung by all the musicians and listeners should awaken the anticipation of christmas in everyone.

Sunny faces under shady trees

The 15. Unicef children’s festival turned parts of mitwitz castle park into a wonderful playground on sunday. In the middle of it all, a single man on a picnic blanket in the shade of a tree. Papa kai from lichtenfels had found his very own island of rest. And while his wife and two children were getting involved in the hustle and bustle, he just wanted to take a deep breath.

On the stage at this point, presenter joffrey streit had to be careful that dance teacher claudia czyz didn’t sweep him off the stage. She wanted to make sure everything was clean for her dance party. And they presented themselves in colorful and in fairy tale-like costumes. Even if in the beginning the youngest ones had a few sips and their anguished looks were looking for their moms and dads in the audience, in the end they dared to go on the rough stage. The dance group of the ballet school "danceart’s& E-motions" from lichtenfels was sub, colorful and above all talented.

The stately park of aschach castle with its numerous old and tall trees is usually an oasis of tranquility. On sunday afternoon, however, the happy laughter of numerous children echoed through the park, adults were of course also present. The museums at aschach castle had invited guests to a colorful family festival with children’s games and entertainment on this day. Children up to 1.20 meters were allowed in for free, but above that they had to pay 1.50 euros into the castle treasury, just like the adults. “You can’t lure young people with old songs”

"This is not meant to be a choir that competes with the others in the community, says andreas brunner. The new choir should not take away from any existing singers. He is more of a "supplement" thought about the existing singing groups in the community. Andreas brunner, choir director and church musician ventures into the experiment of founding a project choir in the parish of pommersfelden. He is supported by the burgerstiftung pommersfelden, which was founded by rainer dippold in spring 2010. According to the words of mayor hans beck, their objectives also include the musical demand. Especially those of the youth, who so far tend to stay away from the traditional choruses.

At the first meeting, 25 singers of various ages attended, including many young people. "This is a strain to work with", the choirmaster was pleased. According to andreas brunner, the songs sung by the project choir will be a colorful mix of musical, gospel (perhaps also something african), philipp ottl (a german singer), and a few other styles his. "We try to be as broad as possible, so there"s something for everyone." No matter whether this is in the secular or the spiritual area. The old german chorgut is no longer enough to lure the youngsters out from behind the oven. No one has to audition for the new choir, assures brunner. A choir director has ears to hear and match the voices. Rehearsals are currently scheduled for friday evening and will last about an hour and a half. The future must show whether the project choir will meet continuously throughout the year, or only for a certain period of time and then take a break.

Ducking away important during bischofsheim air ambulance flight

ducking away important during bischofsheim air ambulance flight

Crouching low, the flight assistants ran across the meadow directly under the police helicopter. The rotors turned relentlessly, communication was only possible by hand signal or via headphones and radio – it was simply too loud. A few professional moves and the helicopter took off again. On the long rope swung the attached box.

This scenario was repeated over and over again on the meadow above the wegfurt sports home. It was this year’s air rescue mission of the bischofsheim fire department with the police helicopter squadron from roth. The commander of the bischofsheim fire department christian hoenen was in charge of the operation.

The new pride of the community

The new pride of the community

On 7. In may 1976, the young market town councilor herbert karmann submitted a proposal to consider the construction of a new town hall in buttenheim and to examine the necessary prerequisites and possibilities. Now his son michael karmann, in his function as buttenheim mayor, could officially commission the new and actually also the first buttenheim town hall.

The construction of the town hall was the subject of much discussion in the past. At first, other projects, such as village renewal, kindergarten and school construction, were more important. When it came to the question of a possible location, various alternatives were considered, but all of them were rejected. In the end, the current municipal council opted for the site in the immediate vicinity of the "old" building buttenheim town hall, originally two teacher’s service apartments, was decided. The new town hall was built on the site of the former schoolhouse, which was built in 1907 and demolished in the 1970s.
